Your Library, In Your AI

Connect Your AI

Save a prompt once, then find it from the assistant you use. YourAIKit connects through MCP, with the permissions you choose.

Start Here

Sign in to YourAIKit first. If you see "Sign-in is coming soon," account setup is not available yet; OAuth and token creation will become available when sign-in opens.

Server URL: https://youraikit.com/mcp

Transport: Streamable HTTP. For OAuth, choose automatic client registration when your client offers it. For a bearer connection, create a personal token in Connections.

Claude

  1. Open Customize > Connectors and add a custom connector. A workspace owner may need to add it for your team.
  2. Name it YourAIKit and enter https://youraikit.com/mcp.
  3. Choose OAuth sign-in and automatic registration, then sign in to YourAIKit and review the requested permissions.
  4. Enable the connector for the conversation and ask, "Find my saved prompts about meeting notes."

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT Plugins, select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server. Availability depends on your account and workspace policy.
  2. Enter YourAIKit and https://youraikit.com/mcp. Configure OAuth, review the access request, and complete the sign-in flow.
  3. Review the discovered tools and create the connection. Select YourAIKit with @ in a new conversation.

If your account does not offer custom MCP servers, download individual library items and use their text in ChatGPT Project instructions. A ChatGPT Project alone does not create an MCP connection.

Cursor

Add this to your personal ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then use Cursor's MCP controls to sign in through OAuth:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "youraikit": {
      "url": "https://youraikit.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

For a personal token, use this configuration and make YOURAIKIT_TOKEN available to the Cursor process through your local secret setup:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "youraikit": {
      "url": "https://youraikit.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:YOURAIKIT_TOKEN}"
      }
    }
  }
}

Grok Bot

Custom remote MCP connections are not documented for Grok Bot yet. Its app guide covers supported plugins and secure credential entry.

For manual use, download an item from your library and give Grok Bot its text or file. Installing the skill by itself does not connect your library.

Developers can use xAI's remote MCP API with https://youraikit.com/mcp as the server URL and Authorization: Bearer <your yak_ token> as the authorization header. Create a token in Connections and keep it in your application's secret store.

Other MCP Clients

Choose Streamable HTTP, set the server URL to https://youraikit.com/mcp, and set the request header Authorization: Bearer <your yak_ token>. Use the client's secret store. Keep tokens out of URLs, source control, and chat messages.

Connect, list the available tools, then try list_my_library. A read token is enough to search and retrieve content. Clients that only support local stdio need a compatible bridge; a URL alone will not work.

Install The Skill

Download YourAIKit SKILL.md and put it in your client's youraikit skill folder, or use its skill installer. The file explains how to discover tools, preserve credit, and handle changes. Connect MCP separately. In clients without skills, use it as reference instructions; it cannot grant access to your library.

Choose What Your AI Can Do

Read lets an app search the directory and read your library and saved kits. Write also lets it save, edit, delete, and share items. OAuth uses library:read and library:write.

Personal tokens default to read access and expire in 90 days. No expiry is an explicit option. Each secret appears once. Revoke a token or an OAuth app from Connections to stop its access. OAuth access tokens last one hour and refresh tokens rotate.

New items are private. Shared links show the latest version; copies in your library are snapshots with credit. Deletions stay in trash for 30 days. Text is limited to 256 KB, attachments to 5 MB each and 10 per item, and stored bodies plus files to 50 MB per account.

If you get an access error, check the selected account, scope, and expiry. For a version conflict, reload the item before retrying. For a rate limit, wait a minute.

Client documentation checked October 17, 2026. Setup labels and availability can vary by account and client version.
