A long video is one afternoon of work and then a week of silence if you stop there. The slow part is the second pass: a script for the next upload, chapters a viewer can jump, a few Shorts, and posts that do not all say the same sentence. That second pass is what this kit is for.

It chains free directory items. You start with YouTube Agent Skill by Jakeschincariol, add a chapters prompt and a summary prompt from Fabric, draft the posts with Social, run Humanizer by blader as the last edit, and optionally queue them with Postiz. You still decide what gets published.

What you need: Claude (Claude Code or Cowork is the smoothest place to install the skills), the transcript of the video, and about two hours. Postiz is optional. If you already have a scheduler, skip step 5 and paste the posts in yourself.

Limits, up front: these tools draft. They have not watched your comments, and a scored hook is a guess. Humanizer is a voice edit. It is a poor tool for hiding text from a detector, and this kit does not use it that way. The DMCA note at the end is a drafting aid for a lawyer to review. Nothing in this kit is legal advice.

The steps, times, and directory pages are in the kit card above.

Before you start (15 minutes)

  1. Install YouTube Agent Skill. It is MIT licensed, free, and it does not need an API key. The repo holds eleven skills, including yt-script, yt-package, yt-shorts, yt-chapters, yt-edit, and yt-retention. Read the one you are about to run.
  2. Export a transcript. Chapters and posts are only as good as the words you hand over. If you do not have one, pull it from your editor or from a transcript tool you already trust.
  3. Keep one sentence about the video where you can see it: who it is for, and the one thing they should leave with. Every later step should be able to repeat that sentence without inventing a new one.

Step 1: Script, package, and Shorts (40 minutes)

YouTube Agent Skill is built for the work around a channel, not for uploading. One skill drafts a script from hook formulas and scores the hook. Another checks the title and the thumbnail as a pair, so they do not repeat each other. Another pulls Shorts out of a long transcript. The skills write. You publish.

Ask:

Here is the transcript of [video]. Write the next script for the same audience, score the hook, and tell me why. Then give me three title-and-thumbnail pairings. Then mark three moments that could be Shorts, with the line to open on.

Your job in this step: throw out any hook you would not say on camera. A high score on a line you dislike is still a line you dislike.

Step 2: Chapters and a summary (20 minutes)

Chapters need timestamps, and the posts need a short version of the video that does not ramble. Two Fabric prompts do that in any chat, including Claude.

Create Video Chapters reads a transcript and returns topics with timestamps. YouTube Summary writes the short version the posts will quote. Both are MIT prompts from Daniel Miessler's Fabric project. The YouTube skill also has yt-chapters if you would rather stay inside that install. Use one chapters pass, not three.

Ask:

From this transcript, give me chapters with timestamps, then a summary in under 200 words. Flag any timestamp you are unsure about.

Your job in this step: open the video and check three timestamps, including the first and the last. If one is off, the rest need a look too.

Step 3: A week of posts (30 minutes)

Social, from Corey Haines's Marketing Skills, drafts posts for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, and the rest, and it knows the point of repurposing: one strong source, several native versions. Five posts that repeat the caption are not a week of content.

Ask:

Using this summary and these chapters, draft five posts for the next week. Two for LinkedIn, two short posts, one thread. Each one takes a different angle from the video. No fake urgency, and no "comment YES" bait.

Your job in this step: delete any post that promises a result the video did not show. Keep the ones that sound like something you would actually send.

Step 4: Voice pass (15 minutes)

Run Humanizer last, on the posts you mean to keep. It edits toward plain speech using Wikipedia's signs-of-AI checklist, and it is supposed to leave the meaning where it was. Do this after you cut the weak posts, so you are not polishing drafts you will throw away.

Ask:

Edit these posts so they sound like a person talking. Keep every claim. Show me what you changed.

Your job in this step: read the diff. If a fact moved, put it back. This pass is for rhythm and wording. It is not a way to sneak text past a detector, and a detector is not the audience.

Step 5: Schedule, if you want a connector (15 minutes)

Postiz is a link-out. The docs describe an MCP server that can draft and schedule posts across many networks from Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor. YourAIKit does not host a copy. Postiz Cloud is a paid service, and the open-source app is AGPL-3.0.

Connect it only if you already use Postiz. A connector that can publish will publish when you tell it to, so leave the approval step on and read the queue before you confirm.

If you do not use Postiz, skip this step. Paste the five posts into the scheduler you have. The writing is the part this kit was for.

The Sales & Marketing Pack is a separate set of prompts for pipeline and voice. It does not include these free skills.

If someone re-uploads your video

DMCA Takedown and Counter-Notice is an Apache-2.0 skill from Anthropic's Claude for Legal plugin. It drafts a takedown notice after fair-use and good-faith checks, sorts a notice you received, or drafts a counter-notice.

Use it when a copy of your video shows up where it should not. Hand it the URL, what you own, and where the original lives. Read every sentence before it goes anywhere. A counter-notice has consequences, including consent to a court's jurisdiction, and the skill is written to stop and say so.

This is a drafting aid for a lawyer to review. It is not legal advice, and a notice you have not read is not ready to send.

Common pitfalls

  • Trusting the hook score. It is a rubric inside a skill, not a prediction of views.
  • Publishing chapters you did not spot-check. One wrong timestamp makes the whole list look careless.
  • Five posts, one caption. Repurposing means a new angle, not a find-and-replace of the title.
  • Running the voice pass to dodge a detector. Humanizer is for readers. Use it that way.
  • Letting the scheduler publish unread. Postiz can send. Confirm only what you have read.
  • Sending a takedown you skimmed. The DMCA skill drafts. A lawyer, or you acting carefully on your own rights, decides.

Your repurposing checklist

  • Transcript saved, and one sentence on who the video is for
  • Script, scored hook, title-and-thumbnail pairings, and Shorts drafted
  • Chapters written, and three timestamps checked against the video
  • Short summary you are willing to quote
  • Five posts, each with a different angle, and the weak ones cut
  • Voice pass done, and any changed claim put back
  • Queue reviewed before anything is scheduled or sent
  • If a re-upload appears, the takedown draft is read before it is sent

Open any of these items from its directory page when you want the source, the license, and the credit.
